Easy Fake HDR Effect in Adobe Photoshop

Usually to make a HDR image we need to shoot at least 3 image using exposure bracketing. Unfortunately, I believe you not always to set your camera for exposure bracketing. So I hope this easy fake HDR effect tutorial will help you to turn your image to HDR image. All you need here is only your image and Adobe Photoshop, by the way, in this tutorial I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 for HDR Toning methode, I don't know whether the previous has the HDR Toning feature. So let's get started.

Layer blending method (this method can be applied to any version of Adobe Photoshop).
  1. Open your image and then duplicate the background layer by pressing Ctrl+J.
  2. Choose the copied layer, then desaturate the layer by click Image > Adjustments > Desaturate or you can press Shift+Ctrl+U.
  3. Then blur the layer using Gaussian Blur by choosing Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Then set the radius between 30-40 pixels.
  4. The invert the layer by selecting Image > Adjustments > Invert or you can just press Ctrl+I.
  5. After that just change the layer blending mode to Overlay or Soft Light and adjust the opacity according your preference.
HDR Toning Method
This method is very easy, just open your image in Adobe Photoshop then select Image > Adjustments > HDR Toning. After a dialog box appear just try to adjust of the HDR image according to your preference.

I believe there are another way to fake the HDR images, but I hope these 2 methods will be the easier method for you to try..

Nikon D7000 DSLR

Nikon already released Nikon D7000, their new line up for DSLR camera. Nikon D7000 is an upgrade option fo Nikon D90 and D5000 users.Although ergonomically, the D7000 is a very close match for the D90, its overall 'feel' is considerably more serious, thanks to a magnesium alloy body shell and thicker rubber coating on the hand grip and rear of the camera. In terms of its specification, the D7000 actually outguns the D300S in many respects, and at 16.2Mp it offers the second highest resolution of any Nikon DSLR, behind only the 24Mp D3X. All of these pixels are packed onto a newly developed CMOS sensor, which is almost certainly the same or very similar to that in the Sony Alpha SLT-A55. As well as extra resolution, the new sensor also offers a higher 'standard' ISO span of 100-6400, expandable up to the equivalent of ISO 25,600.
