Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 USM IS features 2nd generation of Canon's optical image stabilizer. The AF system also fast and nearly silent because of its USM system. The front element does not rotate during focusing so using a polarizer filter is not a problem. This lens also features full time manual focusing, which allow you to move from auto focus to manual focus without to change the switch, or just to enhance your focus to get sharper image.
